Shirakawa  is a city located in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. 

Shirakawa is located in south-central Fukushima prefecture facing the Nasu plateau, and extending to the lowland Shirakawa Basin.

震災により大きな被害を受けた地域の社会的機能や社会経済活動の一日も早い復旧を図り、今回の経験・教訓を活かした更なる災害に強いまちづくりを目指すとともに、原子力災害を克服して真に安全で安心な暮らしが確保できるよう全力で取り組んでいく必要があることから、その指針となる白河市震災復興計画を策定します。

The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
