As the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the 2004 tsunami-devastated regions continues, questions remain on how thisrebuilding effort contributes to building disaster-resilient communities and better environment as well as preserving the legacy of the worst natural disaster of the century for future generations.

Coming into its 5th year, this international workshop brings together experts, researchers, policy makers, and practitioners from around the world sharing their knowledge and experiences that improve earthquake and tsunami disaster management strategies thereby reducing risks in tsunami-prone regions.

The programs will include plenary addresses, presentations and expo.

Special Lecture : Prof. Louise Comfort (University of Pittsburgh, USA)
