This plan outlines how the Yarrabah Aboriginal Shire Council prepares for, responds to, and recovers from disasters affecting the Yarrabah community in Queensland, Australia.

The aim of the DRP is to detail the emergency recovery arrangements for the Territory of Christmas Island. It is designed to guide key agencies and individuals in responding to a variety of emergencies throughout the Territory.

In partnership the Community Outcomes and Recovery Sub-committee, Queensland Reconstruction Authority and the National Emergency Management Agency developed the National Disaster Recovery Needs Assessment Guidelines.

The purpose of this framework is to guide how governments and recovery partners toward consistent support for mental health and wellbeing before, during and after disasters
