The Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) report for Bangladesh's 2022 floods aims to assess the cost and impacts of the damage and loss resulting from the disaster.
Considering that “disasters are inevitable in countries with high vulnerability index” such as Bangladesh, more options to further reduce the impacts of disaster are important.
The aim of the assessment is to identify priority areas to support the Government of Bangladesh in cyclone recovery efforts as well as to design a disaster management strategy.
This document identifies the needs and quantified financial requirements that will facilitate formulating comprehensive early recovery actions, medium‐term recovery and reconstruction plans, and a long‐term risk management and reduction strategy.
