Great East Japan Earthquake Lessons Learned & Know-How Gained

Ten years after the occurrence of the Great East Japan Earthquake, disaster victims, the national government, local governments, volunteers, NPOs, private companies, and even individuals are working together to recover from this unprecedented disaster and achieve creative reconstruction. We have been moving forward with recovery and reconstruction for 10 years. These trial-and-error efforts in recovery and reconstruction will provide us with irreplaceable knowledge for recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, as well as disaster prevention and mitigation for large-scale disasters that are likely to occur in the future. 

Based on this idea, these books are the culmination of a two-year project that brings together expert knowledge, investigates and analyzes cases of restoration and reconstruction efforts, and extracts lessons and know-how.
