Among the tsunami’s victims were tourists, tycoons, a prince and many ordinary traders, workers, pilgrims and families enjoying their day off. But it was overwhelmingly the poor who suffered the greatest losses and the poor who are having the hardest time rebuilding their lives and communities after the waves.
