Workshop of lessons learnt on the national and international response to the Bam earthquake: report

The report takes into consideration the proceedings of the workshop about the Bam earthquake held in Kerman, Islamic republic of Iran, in April 2004. It specially focuses on national and international response, national set up for disaster response, policy and administrative issues, international stand-by arrangements, needs assessment, joint planning and resource mobilization. Finally it summarizes the policy recommendations addressed by different working groups on international assistance, involvement of beneficiaries and information management.
