Source
内閣府 Cabinet Office (Japan)

The White Paper of 2022 starts with the theme of “To Protect Our Lives from Large-Scale Disasters” in its first section of “Special Feature,” reviewing the major disasters that occurred in FY2021, the damages from each disaster, and the measures taken by the government. Next, there is a summary of the progress concerning measures which the government has been undertaking in response to the debris flow disaster in Atami City, which marked a turning point for the government to give a series of considerations such as the prevention of disasters caused by embarkment, the disclosure of personal information including the names of missing people at times of disaster, and measures to encourage residents to evacuate appropriately. Lastly it introduces an outline of the latest efforts being taken by the government to strengthen disaster management systems.
