Rebuilding lives after the tsunami through the eyes of children: 1-year progress report

Source
Save the Children International

This book is dedicated to the millions of children whose lives were changed by the earthquake and tsunami in Asia last December. Many thousands of children lost their lives and many surviving children lost one or both parents. Children-especially those living in poverty-are the most vulnerable victims of a disaster and its aftermath. Their families are uprooted and their normal routines are often destroyed. This report brings to donors, staff and friends of Save the Children the story of the organization's emergency response and strategies for the next four years aimed at helping rebuild children’s lives. It is also an account for spending and budget priorities, made possible by donations from across the world.
