The guidelines are for field practitioners planning and implementing housing reconstruction programmes. This includes members of shelter recovery/reconstruction operations such as programme managers, shelter delegates and construction delegates.

This publication describes UNEP's engagement in the post-disaster recovery effort following the earthquake in the Sichuan Province, China on 12 May 2008. It outlines the key achievements of UNEP's engagement in the country from 2008 to 2010, which focused
