This paper describes the experiences of the Philippines Homeless People’s Federation in community-driven measures to avoid disasters, in disaster preparedness and in disaster response.

This report focuses on the role of regional development organizations, including those designated as EDA economic development districts (EDDs), in the long-term post-disaster economic recovery process.

This report is specifically designed to review and document good practices and experiences of the Government and people of China in the recovery and reconstruction operations following the Wenchuan Earthquake.
