This study investigates the impact of forced relocation on the livelihoods of residents who lived in the city of Galle, Sri Lanka, prior to the 2004 tsunami, who were forcibly relocated into new settlements because of the “buffer zone regulation”.

The objective of this assessment is to determine the risk factors, damage and activities to contribute to the rehabilitation, reconstruction and safeguards of infrastructure following the floods of February 9-10, 2014 in Burundi.
