International Recovery Platform

This guidebook is a planning tool to design, manage and assess recovery following a disaster. It describes institutional options, successful characteristics and management lessons based on real-world experience with disaster recovery operations.

The Mozambique Recovery Facility is a five-year program led by UNDP in collaboration with the Government of Mozambique, aims to accelerate recovery and enhance resilience following the devastation caused by Cyclone Idai and Cyclone Kenneth.

In October 2019, Typhoon Hagibis struck wide areas of Japan, including the Abukuma River Basin and caused a serious flood disaster.
