Consolidated Appeals Process (CAP): Indian Ocean earthquake-tsunami 2005, mid-term review
In the early stages of the tsunami disaster, regional coordination of logistics, procurement humanitarian coordination, information systems, resources allocation, and management were essential to respond to the vast needs throughout the tsunami affected areas. During the first three months of the Flash Appeal, projects were implemented in the areas of food aid, logistics and air services, coordination, regional health, technical support, early warning systems, management, monitoring and evaluation, protection and human rights, capacity building, and security for humanitarian operations.
