Hawaii’s communities are highly vulnerable to extreme natural disaster events. Disaster recovery preparedness activities set the stage for recovery from a disaster event informed by and contributing to a county’s planning and implementation framework.

The Kerala Reconstruction and Development Programme encompasses key sectors of the economy such as agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, forestry, land, livelihoods, roads and bridges, transportation, urban services and infrastructure.

This compendium contains a collection of good practices and lessons learned about comprehensive risk management approaches, taking into account the specific needs of developing countries particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change.
